ABOUT SPF: 

​

His Eminence Bana Bhante Most Revered Venerable Sadhanananda Mahathera said “Nandapal, the people of Tripura & Arunachal Pradesh send their respectful invitation to me to go to India; I am not in a position to go. Please, you go to teach the Dhamma & Meditation and revive Buddhism in India.” In the year 1999 and thereafter, Venerable Nandapala Mahathera travelled to India for Dhammaduta works and to revive Buddhism in the Land of the Buddha, which resulted in the establishment of many monasteries in India for training Monks and lay persons.

His Eminence Bana Bhante Most Revered Venerable Sadhanananda Mahathera passed away at the age of 93 on 30 January 2012 leaving a behind a great legacy of Dhamma for his Monastic disciples and lay followers. It was not only an irreparable loss to the Buddhist Community but to the whole of mankind.

 

Most Venerable Nandapala Mahathera continued the legacy of His Eminence Bana Bhante, Most Revered Venerable Sadhanananda Mahathera. To make the year 2012 memorable, pay our humble homage and deep respects to Bana Bhante along with an objectives to promote, revive and preserve the Buddha Sasana, Venerable Nanapal Mahathera established the Saddhamma Preaching Fund (SPF) on friday, 17 August 2012 at Savar Bana Vihara, Dhaka.

SPF is a voluntary contributions/donations through a membership programme of nominal amount 1000/- (One Thousand Only) annually.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES:

​

1. 1. To make known the compassionate teachings of the Buddha;

2. To sow the Bodhi seeds through Dhamma with focus on personal development, Morality and Ethics in individual, Family, Society and the World.

3. To enhance unity, solidarity and brotherhood amongst Buddhists and to collaborate with other organizations working for the same ends;

4. To organize Dhamma talks, Meditation retreats and exchange programs;

5. To promote peace through ever-lasting messages of Buddha's Non-Violence and renunciation;

6. To promote & safeguard the cultures, traditions, moral ethics & values of Buddhist community;

WHAT DOES SPF DO?

​

Saddharma Preaching Fund (SPF) support the activities of Venerable Nandapala Mahathera. The funds of the SPF are utilized to establish Monastic Institutions, Dhammaduta and Meditation centers in countries, territories or areas where there are appreciable number of Buddhists to encourage practice and observance of the Buddha's teachings of Morality, Compassion and Wisdom. With your kind donation/contribution through the membership programme of nominal amount 1000/- (One Thousand Only) annually, Venerable Mahathera established Buddhagaya Bana Vihara, Kolkata Bana Vihara and Dhaka Bana Vihara for the welfare of the people.

The Buddha said: "Sabba danam dhamma danam jinati - The gifts of dhamma excels all other gifts". Mankind already has so many material things but of dhamma there's very little.
