THE FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS

The Four Noble Truths can be explained in many ways. If one understands the Four Noble Truths, one can become own’s teacher. When the novices, monks and laity understand the Four Noble Truths, all conditions of life will change.

The four noble truths can be described in a nutshell. The four noble truths are divided into two categories – lokiya (mundane) and lokuttara (supramundane). The first two truths (dukkha sacca & dukkha samudaya sacca) are mundane and the other two noble truths (nirodha sacca and magga sacca) are supramundane.
